Posted by: Site Admin - 05/09/05 @ 9:43AM On 1st September, a new site for PöördePunkt, designed by Qbic went live. Pöördepunkt is an annual youth event in Tallinn attended by hundreds of young people from all over the country, and organised by V:NL. The event needed a new website to be up and running in time for advertising the 2005 event, and to provide a focal point for communication before, during, and after the event. A new site was created by Qbic using a template system, which enables an easy restyle of the site for the following year's event. the Site uses the SiteX content management system, and is in Estonian.
Posted by: Site Admin - 13/08/05 @ 1:06PM Today, the new website www.inhouse.ee, for In House Capital was launched. The previous site which has now been re-launched as www.prospera.ee, focussed on real estate sales. The new In House site offers a range of services relating to real estate investment, and utilises the same SiteX content management system as www.qbic.ee. A new site template was developed, with the integration of flash animation and with some of the SiteX code customised to add extra features and hide unwanted features. This is a good demonstration of what can be acheived with SiteX in the right hands! Posted by: Site Admin - 10/08/05 @ 10:21AM Look no further!
This site uses a Content Management system which can be customised for your needs. Out of the box you get the following great features: Photo gallery, journal, guestbook, link manager, forum and web polls!
Of course, if there are extra features you need, we can provide them too! We have found that more often than not, even the best content management systems don't do all you want in the way you want it done! That's where we can help you!
Posted by: Site Admin - 09/08/05 @ 11:59AM Launch day finally arrived, and plenty of midnight oil was burned to get the site up and running in good time. This site is powered by the SiteX 0.6.4 beta engine, which is stable but still in development. We are looking forward to new features which are being added as i type... The site you are looking at underwent extensive customisations of the original SiteX code in order to develop the style we wanted. So suffice it to say that the site will be mutating gradually over time as we incorporate new features.
Posted by: Site Admin - 09/08/05 @ 11:42AM Over the last few days, We've taken some time to review a plethora of free GNU/GPL content management systems. This is for a number of reasons but largely in order to seek out suitable solutions for some of our clients. Its funny how things come all at once... There area a total of 4 client applications for which we are looking for solutions and all remarkably similar...
Part of our philosophy is an unwillingness to re-invent the wheel. It would be so easy say to our client's "we'll build something for you" but, we don't believe in making money from the ignorance of others. There are many good web-based applications freely available on the internet under the GNU/GPL licence agreement, that we want to encourage, as it all leasd towards a better Open Source future.
Many of the applications available can be customised for an individual client's needs, and this is the service the client pays for. So its our job to keep our ears firmly on the ground listening for the rumblings from the internet community...
